Cycling for a green cause-SSTEC event in support of Earth Hour 2017
Residents and employees of the Eco-City participated in a cycling event organised by SSTEC in the Eco-Business Park (EBP) in the Eco-City on 25 March (Saturday), 2017, in conjunction with the Earth Hour 2017.

SSTEC actively participates in a community cleaning activity in the Eco-City for the creation of a national health district
On 25 March, SSTEC and Shengheng sent a team of over 20 Chinese and Singapore employees, led by DCEO Justin Liu Jia in a community cleaning activity which is part of the efforts in creating a national health district organised by ECAC. All enterprises, institutions and residents from the Eco-City have been mobilised to participate in improving the cleanliness of the environment, making an effort for the Eco-City to be a model in TBNA.

It noted that making a breakthrough in a resource-scarce environment, Tianjin is exploring its new road for green development driven by science and technology.

22 Feb 2017, Economic Information Daily, a daily under Xinhua News Agency, carried a feature on the Eco-City, titled "The Sino-Singapore Tianjin Eco-City transformed from saline and alkaline land".
Pacts inked to boost eco-city infrastructure, services
27 Feb 2017, The Straits Times reported that Singapore and China signed five pacts to cooperate on improving the infrastructure and services in the Eco-City on 26 Feb in Beijing.
Tianjin Eco-City’s construction plan for 2017 has been confirmed
6 Mar 2017, China Economic Herald reported that the Eco-City’s construction plan for 2017 has been completed, which consisted of 600 construction projects involving landscaping, transport infrastructure, energy facility, industry, residential and social development.

As the warm spring arrives, flowers are in bloom, grasses are growing and the Eco-City is brimming with vitality. Strolling along the spacious slow movement system, a trace of yellow caught my eyes. Taking a closer look, it turns out to be a shared bike under a bike-sharing program which has been popular recently.
