As the master developer of the China-Singapore Tianjin Eco-City, SSTEC is responsible for the development and sale of residential, industrial and commercial properties; the transfer of land; the leasing of industrial projects; the construction of infrastructure; and property management. SSTEC also actively promotes an eco-friendly lifestyle and implements green concepts to enable commercial and social benefits to grow in tandem. Adhering to the Eco-City’s green principles of the “Three Harmonies” and “Three Abilities”, SSTEC continues to explore cutting-edge technologies to ensure that it remains at the forefront of green development.


SSTEC also integrates environmentally-friendly concepts and action plans into its operations to enable sustainable development. At the same time, SSTEC continues to explore new ways to reduce the risks and effects that its operations have on the environment. SSTEC’s management views safety as a core value of the company and the policy of “safety first, prevention foremost, comprehensive treatment” is implemented across the company, ensuring that staff and contractors at work sites and office spaces can return home safely every day.

Importance of safety to the management

SSTEC’s senior management holds regular safety meetings and strives to strengthen the management’s safety awareness, thereby showing the importance that the company accords to safety.

Management system

SSTEC implements a safety management system with 22 standardised safety management SOPs, to guide and ensure safe operations during construction, as well as of its assets. SSTEC’s management coordinates and conducts comprehensive safety inspections, supervising the elimination of risks and conveying the company’s safety requirements to its stakeholders through inspections, so as to achieve higher safety standards together.

Reacting to emergencies

SSTEC continues to enhance its emergency response system, for a complete suite of plans to respond to emergencies. SSTEC also continues to conduct emergency training and drills, strengthening capabilities to respond to emergencies and withstand risks, so as to minimise the negative effects of safety incidents.

Fostering a culture of safety

SSTEC actively promotes “prevention foremost” as its safety code of conduct through channels such as posters, videos and brochures. Informative safety trainings and briefings are also conducted to continue to raise staff participation rates and to develop self-awareness of safety culture among staff. This ensures the safe execution of tasks and staff’s personal safety.

SSTEC believes in “putting people first” and cares for its staff’s physical and mental health. It continually strengthens its efforts in occupational health management, actively improving its working environment and promoting a healthy lifestyle. SSTEC provides its staff with a high-quality, free-of-charge fitness centre and a nutritionally balanced lunch and encourages staff to maintain their fitness by actively participating in fitness activities. SSTEC also looks after its staff’s health by organising annual health check-ups for them, which also fosters a sense of belonging. All in all, these measures drive the long-term and stable development of the company.
