Renewable Energy

According to the Sino-Singapore Tianjin Eco-City upgraded version 2.0 of the KPIs, the proportion of renewable energy in the Eco-City should be no less than 32% by 2035.

The Eco-City taps on renewable energy through solar photovoltaics, solar water heaters, ground source heat pumps and wind turbines, optimises the integration of these renewable energy sources, and incorporates them into the Eco-City's energy utilisation system to provide residents with electricity, heating, cooling and heated water to meet their daily needs. For example, all residential buildings in the Eco-City use solar water heating systems. The integrated use of renewable energy has greatly reduced the use of conventional energy sources and lowered carbon emissions, thereby saving energy and protecting the environment.
